The system allows users to switch between Standard mode, supporting up to 10 channels with lower latency, and HD mode, expanding capacity to 20 channels for higher-density environments. Each receiver channel can be paired with up to four transmitters, enabling instant switching between different transmitter configurations without re-pairing. Receiver units can be docked within the half-rack chassis or mounted remotely up to 328 feet away via Ethernet cable for increased installation flexibility. Up to five chassis can be linked and operated simultaneously, making the ATW-1423 a scalable solution for larger setups.

Designed for streamlined system management, the chassis features a System ID display showing RF signal level, system ID, transmitter battery status, and link condition. The system is compatible with Audio-Technica’s Wireless Manager software, allowing users to configure, monitor, and save device settings as projects, with support for Syslog protocol integration. AES128 encryption ensures secure signal transmission, while an auto-lock function prevents unintended operational changes.

Transmitters and receivers include clear OLED screens for easy monitoring of key settings and alerts. The body-pack transmitter features a water- and sweat-resistant cW-style locking 4-pin connector for secure attachment to compatible lavalier and headworn microphones. Charging terminals on both body-pack and handheld transmitters support optional ATW-CHG3 series charging docks for convenient NiMH battery recharging. With support for mixed output when input channels are limited and included rack-mount hardware for flexible installation, the ATW-1423 offers a reliable, secure, and adaptable wireless solution for modern professional audio environments.
