Designed specifically for use with Shure Microflex® gooseneck microphones, the ULXD8 is compatible with MX405, MX410, and MX415 models, as well as the MX410DF and MX415DF Dualflex variants. Its flexible gooseneck microphone form factor makes it particularly suitable for meetings and events where wired microphones are impractical or restrictive. When paired with ULX-D or QLX-D digital receivers, the system provides very low latency, ensuring seamless integration with live sound reinforcement systems without noticeable delay.

The ULXD8 offers a long transmission range of up to 300 feet (100 meters), supporting reliable operation even in large conference halls and convention centers. It is compatible with the full range of Shure antennas and RF distribution components, allowing up to 200 ULXD8 transmitters to operate using just one pair of receiving antennas for efficient and scalable installations. Users can power the unit with standard AA alkaline batteries or optional SB900C rechargeable batteries, which provide up to 12 hours of runtime. For added convenience, the optional SBC450 four-bay and SBC850 eight-bay networked charging stations enable organized docking and charging when transmitters are not in use.

The transmitter also features a configurable mute button with selectable modes including toggle, push-to-mute, push-to-talk, or disabled, along with customizable mute LED behavior.
