With up to 88 MHz switching bandwidth and equidistant channel spacing, the system enables efficient frequency coordination in even the most complex RF conditions.

Powered by Sennheiser’s proprietary Performance Audio Codec (SePAC), the receiver achieves ultra-low latency of just 1.9 ms while offering an impressive 144 dB input dynamic range, eliminating the need for gain adjustments on wireless transmitters. Standard Mode provides 600 kHz spacing for up to 146 channels, while Link Density (LD) Mode offers 300 kHz spacing for up to 293 channels, maximizing spectrum efficiency. The integrated antenna splitter with antenna power and loop-through capability allows daisy chaining of up to 16 channels (four EW-DX EM 4 units), simplifying multi-channel system builds.

Designed for advanced networking, the EW-DX EM 4 Dante features four configurable network ports that can be assigned for control, Dante® primary or secondary, or combined functions, ensuring highly flexible network architectures. Dante® digital audio integration enables seamless networked audio workflows, supported by AES-256 encryption and Dante Media Encryption for maximum transmission security. The system integrates with SoundBase software, Sennheiser Control Cockpit, Wireless System Manager, and third-party media control systems via plug-ins, while supporting both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity.

User operation is streamlined through AutoScan, which quickly analyzes the RF environment and deploys intermodulation-free frequencies without requiring advanced RF expertise. A dedicated Link Quality Indicator (LQI) provides clear insight into connection stability independent of RF level meters. Remote control is available via the Smart Assist App over Bluetooth® Low Energy at distances up to 25 meters. The receiver features a clear OLED display with jog wheel navigation and control buttons, a selective front-panel headphone output with volume control, and extended menu options such as custom frequency lists, selectable sync parameters, and walk tests.
