The JBL Control 16C-VA is a two-way 6.5-inch coaxial ceiling loudspeaker engineered for EN54-24 compliant life safety and voice alarm applications. It features a 165 mm (6.5") high-output polypropylene cone driver with butyl rubber surround and a 19 mm (0.75") soft-dome liquid-cooled tweeter, delivering powerful, full-range audio with excellent speech intelligibility and music clarity. The speaker is housed in a vented, paintable baffle constructed from UV-resistant UL94-V0 and UL94-5VB flammability-rated materials, and includes an integrated backcan for fast and secure installation.

Designed for medium to high volume commercial environments such as retail stores, hotels, airports, lounges, convention centers, educational institutions, and paging systems, the Control 16C-VA ensures consistent sound quality both on and off axis. It supports both 70V/100V line systems and low-impedance direct operation, delivering 50 watts at 8 ohms and 30W multi-tap settings. With a frequency response of 62 Hz – 20 kHz, wide 110° coverage, and high 91 dB sensitivity for strong maximum SPL, this speaker provides reliable performance for critical safety and background/foreground audio applications.
