Its 1RU design supports simultaneous VoIP, PSTN, and USB soft codecs, allowing seamless connection across multiple communication platforms in a single device. With 12 acoustic echo cancellers (AEC) capable of routing to both analog and Dante inputs, the EX-1280C can manage multiple rooms or share AEC processing across several units, ensuring crystal-clear audio for every participant.

Each AEC channel features adaptable noise cancellation, non-linear processing, and comfort noise technology to enhance speech clarity and intelligibility during meetings. The processor also offers a two-line VoIP interface with an internal web configuration, allowing IT personnel to manage network and codec settings without needing access to the original design file. PSTN connectivity supports worldwide analog telephone systems, while USB integration provides easy connection to PC-based soft codecs.

The EX-1280C includes full Dante audio networking, supporting up to 64×64 audio channels, enabling connection to other Dante-enabled devices, including microphones with native Dante integration. An AmpLink port delivers eight channels of uncompressed, low-latency digital audio to AmpLink-equipped Bose Professional amplifiers, while the front-panel OLED display and rotary encoder make it simple to monitor channel activity and adjust network parameters. With 5 GPIO inputs and 5 outputs, external devices such as microphone pushbuttons and status LEDs can be integrated easily.
