The Yamaha CL5 is a flagship-class digital mixing console designed for large-scale live sound, broadcast, and touring applications, delivering exceptional audio quality, advanced processing, and flexible system integration. It features a comprehensive fader layout with 16 faders on the left section, 8 in the Centralogic™ section, 8 on the right, and a 2-fader master section, providing fast and intuitive control over up to 72 mono and 8 stereo input channels. The console supports 24 mix buses and 8 matrix buses with input-to-matrix capability, while the built-in meter bridge and stainless steel iPad support enhance both monitoring and remote workflow.

Equipped with built-in Dante networking, the CL5 enables seamless system expansion with Yamaha R series I/O racks and supports connection of up to 24 racks per console. Gain Compensation allows multiple consoles to share the same I/O units efficiently, making it ideal for complex productions. The console includes Yamaha’s renowned Dugan automixer for automatic microphone management, as well as powerful onboard processing through the Virtual Premium Rack featuring VCM models of the RND Portico 5033 EQ and 5043 compressor, alongside additional studio-grade effects. The CL5 supports direct two-track recording to USB and multitrack recording via Dante for virtual soundcheck and production playback. Three Mini-YGDAI slots offer expanded I/O and processing options, and advanced features such as 16 DCA groups, 8 mute groups, 300 scene memories, customizable fader banks, user-defined keys and knobs, comprehensive EQ and dynamics processing, input and output delays, and a 5-in/5-out GPI interface ensure maximum control.
